The Nigeria film actor and producer, Yomi Fabiyi has reacted to outbursts by Nigeria over his new movie titled, ‘Oko Iyabo’, which undermines the Girl-Child.

Nigerians had expressed their grievances on various social media platforms that the movie misrepresented Baba Ijesha’s case.

It would be recalled that Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, had been charged to court over an alleged sexual assault case and Yomi Fabiyi had disclosed that he would release a film which would give an insight into the circumstances surrounding the alleged sexual assault case.

The viewers lamented that Yomi Fabiyi purported Baba Ijesha as a victim of a rape set up arranged by Princess while also presented the underage victim as an adult who already had a consensual relationship with him, and Iyabo Ojo as a prostitute

Several people reported the movie on YouTube and it has been removed.

While commenting on the issue via his Instagram page, Yomi Fabiyi, stated that his intentions were not to undermine the girl child.
