Womanifesto 2019 Holds National Women’s Dialogue In Abuja

Womanifesto 2019, the Charter of Demand of Nigerian Women is set to hold her National Women’s dialogue between 27th to 29th of November 2019, in Abuja.

 

The three days event will focus on presentations and discussions covering health care, women participation in politics, business and other gender sensitive issues that revolves around women & child upbringing in Nigeria such as; Percentage of out of school girl child; Early marriage, which endanger young girls; Maternal mortality rate; Effect of insurgency on Women & children amongst others.

 

The Womamifesto 2019, is expected to attract distinguished speakers from various fields, such as; Dr Abiola Akinyode – Afolabi, Dean, Faculty of law, University of Lagos, Prof Ayo Atsenuwa, Prof. Joy Ezeilo, Ambassador Nkoyo Toyo, Hafsat Abiola Costello, Fatima Zakari, UN – Women Regional Representative, Comfort Lamptey;

 

Other speakers are; Minister for Women Affairs, Hon Paulen Tallen, First Lady of Ekiti state, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, Human Right Activist, Hauwa Shekau, Senator Josephine Anenih, Obiageli Ezekwesili and more prominent women in Nigeria.

 

The idea behind Womamifesto is to bring Nigerian women together to dialogue and come up with a charter of demand on issues affecting women and children across the country.
