The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has said it will sue President Muhammadu Buhari and his administration over plans to borrow N2 trillion.

This was disclosed in a post on SERAP’s official Twitter handle, noting that, “persistent borrowing is antithetical to the constitutional oath of office.”

SERAP tweeted, “We’re suing President Buhari and his administration over yet another plan to borrow N2 trillion despite the N33 trillion debt burden facing Nigeria.

“Persistent borrowing is antithetical to the constitutional oath of office. We’ll see them in court to end the debt crisis.”

Recall that Nigeria is currently facing a burden of N33 trillion debt.
