Towards improving education delivery and increasing learning opportunities for children, Olori Janet Afolabi, the Queen of Apomu has distributed 1000 books to pupils in Apomu, Osun State.

The book distribution exercise was an activity organized to mark the 2022 children’s day in the ancient town.

During the event, Olori Afolabi noted that she chose to celebrate the children in a unique way by instilling in them the value of education and reducing the challenge of out-of0school children in the community.

Apart from the free distribution of books, Olori Afolabi confirms that she organizes free English lesson sessions for 100 students, with the goal of equipping them with the right educational background.

The event featured a march past by NYSC corps members, quiz and dance competitions among students.

In attendance at the event were: Hon Maroof Akinremi, Chairman Isokan Local Government area of Osun state, traditional leaders and chiefs in Apomu, among others.
