Drivers have been advised to take proper  care of their mental health as it is crucial to their safety.
The advice was given by the Federal Road Safety Corps, Lagos Route Commander, Ayodele J. Ologun, while speaking to members of the National Union Road Transport Workers in commemoration of the World Mental Health Day.
Ologun stressed that if drivers take necessary precautions, Nigeria roads will be free of accidents which has hitherto been on the high side.
He said, “Mental health is very important to drivers. Driving is a job meant for those with brave heart. People that can think fast, people with high Intelligence Quotient.
He also cautioned commmercial drivers and other road users to take precautions while driving on the roads to avert accidents.
The event was organised by the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ikeja Local Branch to commemorate the World Mental Health Day 2020.
