Lagos Explosion – Youth Parliament Commiserates With Victims, Families

The Lagos State Youth Parliament has appealed to residents of Lagos State, especially Abule Ado residents, to remain calm as the Lagos State Government take all the necessary actions regarding the incident.

It would be recalled that a gas explosion occurred at Abule-Ado area of Lagos State on Sunday, March 15th where several people died with properties destroyed.

In a statement signed by Hon. Ojo Oluwafemi, Chairman, House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, Lagos state youth Parliament, he urged all residents to trust the Lagos State government to take necessary actions to avoid subsequent and similar occurrences.

Ojo commiserated with victims and families affected by the incident while he commended all workers that have been providing relief and support to victims.

He said, “it is with heavy heart that I send my deepest condolence to victims and families affected by the pipeline explosions at Abule-Ado Area of Lagos State.

“Particularly, Rev. Sr Henrietta Alokha, Principal of Bethlehem High School Abule Ado, who ensured the students in her school were safe, but lost her life in the process.

“Also, not forgetting the good people of Lagos State and Abule-Ado area who were of great and immense help, in rescuing the victims, my innermost appreciation goes to them”, he added.
