The Nigerian Youth Parliament’s (NYP) Osun State Representatives are gearing up to host the highly anticipated “Osun Emerging Leaders Summit and Awards,” an event poised to mark the celebration of the 2023 International Youth Day.

The summit, scheduled for August 12, 2023, is expected to draw together dynamic young leaders from across Osun State, fostering a collaborative environment to tackle the pressing issues that affect their generation.

With the objective of empowering youth and encouraging their active involvement in governance, the summit aims to create an engaging platform for thought-provoking discussions. Participants will delve into multifaceted subjects such as entrepreneurship, leadership, and civic engagement through an array of speaking sessions and panel discussions.

The highlight of the event will undoubtedly be the awards ceremony, designed to honor exceptional young individuals who have left a significant mark on Osun State. Recognition will be extended to those who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in public management, education, technology, social justice, and entrepreneurship.

“The Osun Emerging Leaders Summit and Awards serves as a spotlight on the remarkable contributions of young individuals in Osun State,” stated Medayese Fagbowore, Osun East Representative of NYP. “We intend for this event to not only celebrate their accomplishments but to ignite a spark of inspiration within others, motivating them to actively engage in their communities and lead positive change.”

Babawale Popoola, Osun Central Representative, added, “This event signifies the coming together of the brightest minds in Osun State, forming a powerful collective voice for youth leadership. We firmly believe that this event will contribute to reshaping the democratic landscape through the inclusion of our generation.”

The “Osun Emerging Leaders Summit and Awards” will unfold at the ADOLAK Event Centre in Osogbo, with proceedings commencing at 10:00 am. Registration is free and accessible to all young individuals within Osun State. Interested participants are encouraged to secure their spot by registering at www.bit.ly/OsunEmergingLeaders.
