Beellahy Foundation has donated school bags and books to pupils of Central Primary School and Ikeja Primary School in Ikeja to mark the International Day of Education, a day set aside to celebrate the role of education in building global peace and sustainable development.

Hajia Adenike Erinoso, Executive Director/ Founder of the foundation said that the foundation, through its partners, deemed it fit to empower pupils of these schools who could not afford school bags and books

“Going to school without bags and books is just like a farmer going to the farm without a hoe and a cutlass.

Erinoso explained that the distribution was part of the organization’s mission and passion to change the sad narratives of the indigents.

She said “you need to see the happiness on their faces after receiving the bags and books. It arouses their dignity, learning, and intellectual abilities among their peers.

The Executive Director said that the goal of the foundation, which is appropriately couched in its slogan, is to bridge the socio-economic gap in society.

She expressed gratitude to the foundation’s partners Learn Africa Plc. Mrs.Adebisi Oluwatosin of Smiley Foundation and Texodus Integrated Services Ltd and Maple leaf pre3ss limited for making the empowerment programme possible.

She appealed for more support and partners to enable the foundation to get across to more people.
