As the struggle within the All Progressives Congress over Adams Oshiomole as Chairman of the party continues, a group, the Coalition of New Nigeria led a protest to the Headquarters of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) in Abuja, claiming that Oshiomole is a corrupt individual.
The coalition is also demanding that President Muhammadu Buhari orders the removal of Oshiomole as chairman of the party.
Leading the protest, Barrister Stanley Onukwufor stated that they were in ICPC to submit a petition against Oshiomhole as his offences as APC National Chairman concerned corrupt practices.
Accepting the petition on behalf of the commission, the Spokesperson of the Commission, Mrs Rasheedat Okoduwa stressed that the petition would get the necessary attention it needed.
Okoduwa further encouraged the protesters to report any act of corruption and other related offences to ICPC, either in writing or through our mail addresses, assuring that all petitions are and will continue to be given due official attention.
