Governor Adeleke made the claim while speaking at the Arise News town hall, held in collaboration with the editorial board of Tribune Newspaper and the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC), in Osogbo.
The governor, who is seeking a second term, reeled out some of the administration’s achievements. Among other claims, Adeleke said the state had constructed about 350 kilometres of roads since he assumed office, with another 150 kilometres under construction, including roads that had remained abandoned for decades. He said his administration had also installed solar lights across the state, arguing that the projects were contributing to economic activity and improving the appearance of major towns.
Adeleke also said security had received attention under his administration, disclosing that more than 1,500 Amotekun personnel had been recruited and trained to protect lives and property.

According to Punch, the leadership of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria in Osun State on September 19, 2025, directed its members to immediately withdraw their services and embark on an indefinite strike action. The directive was contained in a statement signed by the Union’s State chairman, Idris Adeniran.
“Despite our letter dated September 3, 2025, the Chairman of the Osun State Judicial Service Commission has not reached out to the leadership of our union, leading us to believe that the Osun State Judiciary leadership is not committed to upholding the rule of law and industrial harmony,” Adeniran said.
A statement signed by the Osun NULGE President, Dr Nathaniel Ogungbangbe, said the decision followed “a series of security council meetings to deliberate on security guarantees and the successful resumption of work at the grassroots.”
