As Nigeria marks its 66th Independence anniversary, Enough is Enough (EiE) Nigeria is partnering with Story Story 2.0: A Tale of Nigerian Politicians, a live theatre, comedy and music production by media personality and entertainment entrepreneur Timmy Sinclair (popularly known as Trikytee), to blend civic reflection with popular culture and entertainment in a celebration of Nigeria and a conversation about the country its people want to build.
The production, scheduled for October 1, 2026, will use humour, satire, storytelling and music to explore Nigerian politics, leadership and everyday experiences.
According to the organisers, Story Story 2.0 will draw on familiar political characters, campaign promises, controversies and social issues to create a space where audiences can laugh, question and reflect on Nigeria’s political and social realities.
“Story Story is about our reality,” said Sinclair, the producer of Story Story 2.0. “The things Nigerians experience every day, the politics, the promises, the characters, the frustrations and even the absurdity become stories that we can laugh about, but also think about.”
He said staging the production on Independence Day would provide an opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on the country’s journey and the kind of nation they want to build.
The partnership with EiE Nigeria is expected to extend civic conversations beyond traditional political and civic spaces by using popular culture and entertainment to engage audiences, particularly young Nigerians.
With the 2027 general elections approaching, EiE said conversations around leadership, accountability and citizenship would become increasingly important.
“Civic participation is not only about what happens on election day. It is also about the questions citizens ask, the standards they set for leadership and the conversations they have about the kind of country they want,” said Ufuoma Nnamdi-Udeh, Executive Director of EiE Nigeria.
She said the partnership reflects EiE’s approach of using entertainment and popular culture to educate, engage and mobilise young Nigerians.
“Story Story gives us another creative way to enter that conversation, particularly with young Nigerians who engage with politics and public issues through culture, entertainment and digital platforms,” she added.
The organisers said the partnership would extend beyond the October 1 production, with opportunities for conversations and perspectives emerging from the event to reach wider audiences.
They also emphasised that Story Story 2.0 is a non-partisan production and does not endorse any political party, candidate or politician.
