#EdoDecides2020: Obaseki, Shaibu Wins; Ize-Iyamu Loses Unit To PDP No ratings yet.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Godwin Obaseki, has won his Polling Unit 19, Ward 4, Oredo local government area of the state in the September 19, 2020 gubernatorial election.

It was reported that at PDP is leading APC candidate with 31 votes at Uhunmwode local government area Ward 07, Isi north, PU – 004, Ohe Ozua Primary School, PDP got 96 votes while APC scored 65, while Labour Party clinched 1 while NRM, got 2 with one void vote.

At Orhionmwon local government area, Idunmwongo Primary School polling Unit, PDP was reported taking the lead with a total number of 46 votes while ADC got 1, ADP, 2, APC, 43.

The Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, and his wife, Maryann, won their respective polling units.

Philip Shaibu polled 401 votes while APC polled 148 at his Ward 11 unit 005 located at Azama Primary School and his wife, who voted at unit 001 of Ward 11, Oyhaga Primary School, Jattu, Etsako West, Edo North won with 333 votes for PDP while APC polled 51votes.

Meanwhile, the wife of the All Progressive Congress in the ongoing Edo state governorship election Professor Mrs Idia Ize-Iyamu failed to deliver her polling unit for her husband.

Prof. Ize-Iyamu voted at the Staff Training School Ward 2 PU 2 G.R.A Benin City. A total of 154 persons were accredited to vote.

At the end of the election, the Independent National Electoral Commission ad-hoc staff who conducted the election counted the votes and the results were as follows.

Oredo Ward 2 PU 2

APC: 40
PDP: 109

Interestingly, she shared the same unit with the current Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in the state of Professor Yinka Omoregie.
