The Executive Secretary of the National Disability Commission, James Lalu has announced the launch of 24/7 WhatsApp messenger response hotline for persons with disabilities in Nigeria to report any form of abuse or stigmatization.

Announcing the launch via his official Facebook page, the Executive Secretary noted that the hotline will provide opportunity for PWDs to make inquiries, lay complaints, give suggestions, report abuse or stigmatization and also stay informed with the activities of the commission through broadcast messages.

He also noted that the Commission already has a 24/7 hotline number through which abuse or discrimination can be reported.

The WhatsApp hotline (+2347015370083) will provide opportunity for PWDS to be able to get through to the commission freely.
