The Founder, “Our tomorrow”, a Pollution and Climate Change Initiative, (an NGO), Mr Emeka Obasi Jnr. has vowed to mobilize the African youth population on actions that will protect the environment.

Obasi stated this at the formal unveiling of the NGO in Lagos.

Obasi said that “Our tomorrow” had three major objectives to achieve; “to wake up African youths to the reality of the existential threat climate change poses to the future; to sensitize African leaders to heed the call for sustained action against climate change;

“To mobilize resources to campaign and create sustained awareness of Africans, especially the youth to actively involved in efforts aimed at environmental protection and sustainability,” Obasi said.

According to him, the involvement of the youths in climate change actions has become important because the future belongs to them.

He noted that the African continent had been ravaged by multinational corporations extracting resources without adequate consideration for the environment.

Mr. Obasi stated he believe that saving Africa from the ravages of climate change is the great challenge of our generation and he is elated to lead that fight.

He said he is counting on the proud African youth to join, and he is confident that they will not disappoint.
