Citizens under the aegis of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Citizens Engagement Platform have presented a Citizens Charter of Demands to Hon. Sheriff A. Musa, the newly elected Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Ogun State.
The team led by Mr. Bolaji Oyedeko, the Board Chairman of African Foundation for Environment and Development (AFED) noted that the charter of demands consist of priority areas where the citizens want the chairman to focus on.
Mr. Adeshola Afariogun, Executive Director, AFED who was also part of the team revealed that, “the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Citizens’ Development Priorities were generated with full consideration of the legal and policy framework expressly provided for or implied in international, regional and Ogun State’s legal instruments and policy documents.
“Some of the documents considered are; Ogun State Regional Plan 2005 -2025; Sustainable Development Goals 2015 – 2030 and inputs from the nine Citizens Groups in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government.”
The Local Government Chairman committed to work with the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Citizens Engagement Platform to implement their requests and carryout performance review from time to time.
