Citizen News Hub Announces Writing Contest on Nigeria’s Democracy

The Citizen News Hub has announced the call for its maiden writing contest which is opened to students and young writers within the age of 18-35.

Announcing the opportunity, the team lead, Citizens News Hub, Zaynab Oyedeji revealed that all entries should focus on the theme of the contest: ‘Democracy Day 2021: Nigeria Democratic State and Citizens’ Participation.”
Oyedeji stressed that entries must be between 500 to 700 words and must be original work.

Regarding submission of an entry, Oyedeji said, “entries must be submitted in MS Word format, include at least 3 cited sources and document saved with applicant’s full name + CNH Writing Contest.”

She disclosed that winning entries will be published on BONews Service, The Bliss News, and Constituency TV website.

The entry form can be downloaded via – https://bit.ly/3uLqNU9 and all queries regarding the application can be directed to citizennewshub@gmail.com. The closing date for the application is May 30th, 2021.

The overall winner would receive a cash prize of N30,000 and an article published on 4 media platforms. The first and second runner up would also receive cash prizes.
