Modele Disability Rights and Support initiative for Children, Modrisic, has organized a one-day event to celebrate children with disabilities and their parents on the occasion of the year 2021 Children’s Day.

The event, themed, ‘United To Reverse the Impact of Covid-19 Pandemic on Children – Towards A Greater Future’,  was organized to celebrate children with different types of disabilities was also an avenue to show support and encourage their parents.

While speaking at the event, Ms. Funke Ogunrombi, Convener, Modrisic charged the children not to think little of themselves because of their disabilities but believe that they can attain a greater future.

“Disability is not a deterrent to success in life, you only need to be focused and refuse to be overwhelmed by some of the barriers that you might be experiencing at the moment,” Ms. Ogunrombi added.

She also tasked the parents to continually provide the needed support to their children and wards, as that would help them grow to become better adults.
