British Council Trains CS Networks on Political Economic Analysis No ratings yet.

The British Council, through its Agents for Citizens Driven Transformation (ACT) Programme, has trained Civil Society Networks in Lagos State on Political Economic Analysis, PEA.

The 2-day training had in attendance, members of Lagos State Civil Society Participation for Development, LACSOP and the Nigeria Network of Non-Governmental Organizations, NNNGO.

The lead facilitator, Ms. Mojisola Akpojiyovbi while speaking at the training session explained that the session “is meant to strengthen the capacities of non-state actors and make us organized so that we can actively demand for the change that we require.”

Ms. Akpojiyovbi explained that Political Economic Analysis, PEA, helps to explore alternatives and to present options that can be used to arrive at the same or similar result

She added that, “PEA can support collaboration between civil society actors and promote partnerships to facilitate progressive change and joint solutions to political obstacles.”

Mr. Adesola Afariogun, Lagos State Focal Person ACT Programme, disclosed that the training is a capacity strengthening activity for CS Networks to be able to apply it in their programmes and activities,

Afariogun also said it is expected that the network members who participated at the 2-day training would replicate it to other members.
