As part of activities to celebrate the 2025 Children’s Day, BO Foundation for Inclusive Media (BOFIM) visited Sango Junior Secondary School (Inclusive) to donate essential educational materials.
The event underscored BOFIM’s commitment to supporting inclusive education and empowering young learners.
Speaking during the visit, Blessing Oladunjoye, Founder of BOFIM, emphasized the importance of education and encouraged the students with disabilities to remain dedicated and committed to education. “I am here to remind you to keep at it, stay focused, and believe in your potential to achieve greatness,” she said.
Oladunjoye, who mentioned that the event was supported by Michael Fadeyi, a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Sussex, UK and his friends in the UK, stressed the power of education in shaping the lives of all children, especially those with disabilities. “We believe that access to education is important for children with disabilities. Apart from classroom teaching, you are also exposed to various vocational skills, which provide you the opportunity to acquire skills that can help you thrive in life,” Oladunjoye added.

Addressing the students, Oladunjoye encouraged them to view education as a personal mission, not a mere responsibility handed down by parents or society. “Don’t see this as just something to do because someone asked you to. Make sure you’re focused,” she advised.
She further highlighted the importance of the school’s resource room, which offers vocational and life skills training to complement academic learning.
She also praised the students for their commitment and urged them to make the most of every opportunity, reminding them that their journey to greatness has just begun.
Special recognition was given to the school’s staff for their dedication to inclusive education. “Special thanks to Mr. Lawal, who, for the love of these students, is always looking out for what can be done,” Oladunjoye said.
She also extended appreciation to all the special education teachers, saying, “Your commitment is not only rewarding in heaven as it is usually said, but also here on earth.”

Standing in for the school’s principal, Mrs. Ayodele Olayinka, the Vice Principal, Mrs. Osundina Adebukola, expressed gratitude to BOFIM and its founder. She affirmed the school’s ongoing dedication to nurturing students in both academic and practical skills. “We appreciate this gesture.”
Sulaimon Abdullahi Akorede, a JSS3A Deaf student, gave a heartfelt vote of thanks on behalf of the students. “We thank God for you,” he said.
“You will not die, you will live many more years. You will not be poor or sick. You will be strong and healthy. Thank you, and may you have peace.”
