Youths have been urged to participate actively in the 2023 general election process and collect their permanent voters’ cards (PVCs).

The charge was made during a PVC Community Sensitization Campaign Walk at Oshodi/Isolo Local Government Area which was conducted by the Lagos State Chapter of Not Too Young To Run (NTYTR).

While speaking to youths during the sensitization walk, the Lagos State coordinator of the NYTR, Ms. Feyikemi Fabiyi encouraged the youths and community residents to get registered and obtain their PVCs as it is pivotal to their participation in the electoral process.

Fabiyi also charged those whose voters’ cards are ready to pick them up, as the number of abandoned PVCs at the offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission is usually high.

She said, “The era of sitting at home without voting is over, it is our right and we should utilize it.”

The Coordinator also stated that an individual’s vote is his or her civic responsibility for the advancement of the country.

Members of Alausa Youth Vanguard and the National Union of Lagos State Students also participated in the PVC Community Sensitization Campaign Walk.
