Youths under the auspices of Activista Nigeria, a movement of young people passionately working to end poverty through social Justice and affiliated with ActionAid Nigeria, has embarked on a continuous voters’ education rally to sensitize youths on the need to actively participate in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
During the walk, youths were educated, sensitized, and informed on the importance and necessity of not just having their Permanent Voters’ Card, but casting their votes. Illustrations were also made on how to cast valid votes, to ensure that every vote counts.
Speaking after the sensitization walk which held from Ikeja under bridge to Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa, Miss. Ngozi C. Promise, Lagos State Coordinator, Activista Nigeria said the walk was aimed at engaging eligible voters on Voters’ Education and the importance of obtaining their Voters’ cards.
Promise also emphasised the need for youths to shun all forms of electoral inducements and ensure they carry out their civic responsibility during the upcoming 2023 General Elections.
On his part, Coach Rasheed Olakunle, the immediate past Lagos State Coordinator, Activista Nigeria also encouraged all citizens to ensure that they get their PVC.
Information about the locations; Local Government Areas and INEC Offices where registered voters can obtain their voters’ cards were also shared.
