The African Child’s Education and Development Network (ACEDEN) has announced the international recognition of its Project Lead and Co-Founder, Dimeji Sodeke, in the United Kingdom, describing the honour as a major milestone for the organisation and a sign of its growing global impact.
Sodeke, a writer, creative leader and youth advocate, received the award in recognition of his longstanding commitment to education, youth development and purpose-driven leadership. ACEDEN said the honour represents both a personal achievement for Sodeke and a boost to the organisation’s international profile.
According to the organisation, the recognition reflects the expanding influence of its work beyond Nigeria. “This honour highlights the increasing international visibility of ACEDEN’s mission and programmes,” the group said in a statement, noting that its initiatives are now gaining attention across borders.

ACEDEN was founded on the belief that meaningful social change begins with empowered young people. Its work focuses on education, creativity and holistic development, using structured programmes to help children and youth discover their potential and develop their voices.
Through initiatives such as creative competitions, youth engagement programmes and advocacy for purpose-focused growth, the organisation provides platforms designed to nurture talent and encourage leadership among young people.
Reacting to the award, ACEDEN described Sodeke’s recognition on the global stage as a reflection of its core values. “His recognition reflects values deeply embedded in our mission, nurturing excellence, fostering purpose and creating opportunities for young people to shape their futures,” the organisation stated.
The group also said the honour demonstrates that its impact now extends beyond national boundaries. “Impact transcends geography,” ACEDEN said, adding that its work continues to resonate both within Nigeria and among communities in the diaspora.
Leadership recognition abroad, the organisation explained, reinforces the relevance of its programmes and the universality of its goals. It said such milestones validate its long-term focus on education and creative development as tools for sustainable change.
While celebrating the achievement, ACEDEN reaffirmed its commitment to expanding opportunities for young people and building sustainable pathways for development wherever its work reaches. It also called for stronger collaboration with individuals, educators and partners at home and abroad to scale up its initiatives.
Sodeke’s recognition, the organisation said, is not only a celebration of past efforts but also a reminder of its broader vision. “Our mission remains ongoing and our outlook is global,” ACEDEN noted, stressing its resolve to continue empowering the next generation through education, creativity and long-term impact.
