Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), the operator of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MMA2), has felicitated with all Muslims in Nigeria as the Ramadan Fasting begins, and also assured its customers and stakeholders of adequate provision for their safety, security and wellbeing during the fasting period.
In a statement issued by the Head of Corporate Communications, Mr. Oluwatosin Onalaja, BASL restated its commitment to ensuring a stress-free experience for travellers during and after the holy month.
To further reassure the customers, Onalaja said “we have inaugurated and equipped an FRSC Special Marshal Team for proper Traffic Control within and around the terminal. Additionally, the Aviation Security (AvSec) team is well-equipped to detect any security threats and nip them in the bud, using state-of-the-art CCTV surveillance systems.”
He also noted that theft and extortion have drastically reduced at the terminal, due to the technology-driven surveillance and overt and covert security systems.
He said “in the last 16 years of operation, the terminal has not experienced any major internal or external security attacks, which is a testament to the company’s commitment to safety and security.
“The company believes that the Ramadan Fasting season is an opportunity for Muslims to rededicate themselves and reaffirm their belief in God. BASL has refurbished its prayer room to ensure that Muslim travellers have a quiet and peaceful place to pray while at the terminal.”
