Towards building an inclusive and resilient society across the globe, Hope for Peace Women Initiative, Hopewin has called for the promotion and enhancement of gender equality and women empowerment.
Hopewin made the call in a piece issued in commemoration of the International Women’s Day 2021.
The Non-governmental organization which advocates for women’s rights, stressed that building an inclusive society requires the collective efforts of men and women across the globe.
To achieve this, the organization believes that, “we all should ensure women’s full and effective participation and equal opportunities for leadership at all levels of decision making in political, economic and public life.”
Executive Director, Hopewin, Mrs. Bashirat Fahm noted that “Celebrating the IWD with women around the world is one the ways Hopewin is supporting and showing concern for matters relating to women”.
She buttressed that, “Hope for Peace Women Initiative stands to benefit the women folk through programmes like empowerment, standing against injustice for children (child abuse and sexual assault), provide material support for the vulnerable and create awareness on Girl’s child education and women empowerment.
“Hopewin believes that women’s rights shouldn’t be infringed upon and they should be given the chance to express themselves.”
