FirstBank, West Africa’s premier financial institution and financial inclusion services provider, has announced its upcoming SMEConnect Webinar scheduled to hold on Thursday, June 25, 2025.

The quarterly virtual engagement, delivered through its SMEConnect platform, is designed to build the capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises by equipping business owners with practical tools, knowledge, and resources needed to compete and scale in a rapidly evolving economic environment.

This edition is themed “Funding Your Growth: How SMEs Can Access Finance and Scale Faster” and will focus on practical pathways for SMEs to access funding, leverage digital solutions, and navigate operational challenges that often limit business expansion.

The keynote address will be delivered by Kemi Adeosun, while the panel discussion will feature industry practitioners including Oluwatoyin Edu of the Bank of Industry, Afoluwake Dahunsi of FirstBank, and Helen Willie, also of FirstBank.

Chuma Ezirim, Group Executive for e-Business and Retail Products at FirstBank, said the SMEConnect initiative is aimed at translating entrepreneurial ambition into access to finance and growth opportunities.

“Access to capital remains the biggest growth constraint for SMEs. In this edition, funding will be demystified and entrepreneurs will be shown practical steps to become bankable, to connect to the right tools and partners to scale their businesses faster,” he said.

FirstBank continues to position itself as a key driver of SME growth and economic transformation in Nigeria, with the SMEConnect webinar series forming part of its broader commitment to strengthening entrepreneurship and financial inclusion across the region.
