The Centre for Disability and Inclusion Africa has launched DEIHUB, a groundbreaking Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) advisory and consulting service aimed at fostering inclusive workplaces across Nigeria and the African continent. The initiative seeks to create a society where persons with disabilities fully enjoy their inherent rights, participate equitably in civic life, and are fairly represented in media and public policies.

The new service unit is designed to help organisations drive innovation and growth by blending global best practices with African insights to deliver tailored training, strategic advisory, and culture transformation programs.

Yinka Olaito, Executive Director of the Centre for Disability and Inclusion Africa, said the project aims to help build structures and systems for individuals and organisations that prioritise diversity, equity and inclusion but lack the technical expertise to implement such initiatives.

“It is our delight to help build structure and systems for individuals and forward-looking organisations which prioritise diversity, equity and inclusion but lack the technicality of making such work,” Olaito said during the announcement.

She emphasised that disability inclusion is a core development issue that cannot be overlooked due to its potentially detrimental effects when ignored.

DEIHUB will offer strategic DEI advisory services by guiding leadership teams to embed diversity and equity into their core strategies.

The service will also provide tailored training programs covering areas from unconscious bias to inclusive leadership, with sessions designed to shift mindsets and behaviours.

Additionally, DEIHUB will offer organisational culture transformation services to help organisations create inclusive systems, policies, and cultures that drive innovation and sustainable growth.

The Centre for Disability and Inclusion Africa said DEIHUB’s uniqueness lies in its focus on the African context while maintaining global standards, using an evidence-based approach that delivers impact-driven, measurable and transformative change for sustainable inclusion.
