Osun Youths to Gain Digital Advocacy Skills at GHAi Workshop

The Honourable Commissioner for Youth Affairs in Osun State, Moshood Olagunju, will officially open the GHAi Digital Advocacy Workshop For Positive Change on August 14-15, 2024, in Osogbo, Osun State.

The announcement was made by Faysol Oluwakemi, Project Coordinator for The Change Champion Project.

The workshop, supported by the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund, marks the beginning of GHAi’s Change Champion Project. It aims to empower selected youths in Osun State with essential digital skills to drive positive change in their communities.

According to the statement “participants will gain practical experience in various digital advocacy techniques, including: “Engaging policymakers via digital platforms; Crafting effective social media campaigns; Storytelling for impactful communication; and Other relevant digital skills.”

The workshop will feature esteemed facilitators such as Blessing Oladunjoye, Publisher of BONews Service and Executive Director of BO Foundation for Inclusive Media (BOFIM); Arc. Idris Animasaun, advocate for environmental and social change; Evelyn Ohiolei, creative writer and communication specialist; Ayobami Awotayo-Johnson, Lead Consultant at ESNY World; Zainab Fakunle, broadcast journalist and digital advocate

Notable attendees will include Mr. Olusola Ajala, Special Adviser on Public Communications to the Osun State Governor; Dr. Kehinde Akeem Adegoke, Country Project Lead for DSI Project at Corona Management Systems; and Dr. Akinkunmi Alabi, General Manager of Fresh 104.9 FM, Osogbo.
