In recognition of his passionate professional contribution to the Nigerian health sector, the National Association of University Students, NAUS presented a National Outstanding Leadership Award to Dr Adeolu Olusodo the Chief Medical Director of Stars Clinic, Lagos.
Presenting the award to Dr Olusodo in Ikorodu, Lagos, the representatives of NAUS lauded his outstanding strides in championing the course for providing affordable healthcare services to underserved communities.
In his speech, the President of the association represented by the Vice President, Comrade Akintona Temidayo, from University of Abuja, noted that Dr Adeolu Olusodo has chosen to live a life of benevolence, compassion, astute dedication to effective service delivery in the health sector, community development, youths/students empowerment and spartan patriotism in Nation building.
While responding, Dr Adeolu Olusodo appreciated the leadership of NAUS and all University students for deeming it fit to recognize his work. He explained that his impact in the health sector is hinged on his commitment to ensure no-one dies because of the inability to afford health care services.
Dr. Olusodo stressed that he has continued to widen his horizon which led to the establishment of Atayese Health Network which means World Repairer, and it’s aimed at providing healthcare services to the less privileged in impoverished and underserved communities.
While urging the awardee not to relent in his good deeds, the leadership of NAUS presented him the award “as an Icon of Humanity/Transformation”
In appreciation for the award given to him, Dr Olusodo said this has inspired him and will spur him to do more regardless of the stumbing blocks.
