British Council in partnership with Young Readers Library is set to launch the 2019 edition of 30 Books Challenge in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano.
The 2019 edition of the 30 books challenge with the theme, “Space Chase” is aimed at building on the success achieved the previous year.
The 30 Books Challenge is aimed at instilling a culture of reading in children and stimulate their minds while engaging them in a fun and productive way during the forthcoming summer holidays.
Adults/parents are encouraged to read along to bond with their children/wards and model the reading culture to them.
The lunch date varies in each city, the launch would hold in Port Harcourt on Saturday, June 15th at Excellent Pearls School 14 Okoh Close Eliada Layout Rumuogba. Kano State will host the launch of the book challenge on Saturday June 22nd at Asha Int’l model school 53/54 Ummaru Isyaku Kiru line, Farm Centre, Tarauni LGA, Kano while it is expected to hold at BRITISH COUNCIL OFFICE, 20 Thompson Avenue Ikoyi Lagos on Saturday June 29th in Lagos. The last launch will hold in Abuja on Saturday, July 6th, 2019 at The Centagon International School 29/31 Mississippi Street, Maitama, Abuja.
The 30 Books Challenge is scheduled to hold from 22nd of July to 20th of August and will culminate with an award ceremony in September to recognise outstanding participants and children authors.
Attendance to the launch event is free, but interested participants in the book challenge are required to register.
