A non-profit and non-governmental organization, Serene Early-TROBB Concepts has visited the children of Ancient of Days Orphanage and Widowhood Foundation on Christmas day, at Temitope Street, Ayobo, Lagos, distributing some foodstuff to them.
The Founder/ Convener of the NGO, Rhoda Olorunfemi, explained that the exercise was a way of giving back to the community especially orphanage homes where children who don’t have parents or caregivers to provide basic amenities for them.
She said, “what we have come to do here today is one of those ways of giving back to the community, among other responsibilities. Children in orphanages don’t usually have those to provide basic amenities for them, like food, clothing, and shelter. We are here to contribute our quota in our little way to ensure these children are not forgotten.”
Olorunfemi also added that “showing them love this season is also very important, children whose parents are well to do normally take them out during this season and out of the season, buying them lots of gifts and show them, love, however, these ones here don’t have the opportunity.
“Therefore, we must all ensure we remember to impact their lives, not just on Christmas season but every time.”
One of the Supporters of the NGO and a Comic Evangelist, Mr. Aliyu Osezele Kelly, who also visited the orphanage said aside from the fact he’s always visiting fewer privileged homes, the opportunity of teaming up and supporting a very zealous team, Serene Early-TROBB Concept was a privilege. He would continue to do more to ensure the lives of children are impacted positively.
He noted that he shall continue to do his best to ensure the lives of children are positively impacted in a little way he can.
The founder and Managing Director of the foundation, Mrs. Felicia Onwenna, also expressed her gratitude to Serene Early-TROBB Concept’s Executive Director, Rhoda Olorunfemi, saying the NGO has been consistent in reaching to the foundation for years and prayed for God’s guidance over the Convener and NGO.
