Veteran journalist and publisher of the Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu, has stated that any party that is interested in winning the forthcoming general election should pick a candidate with a global appeal.
Momodu made this known during an interview with Arise TV, stressing that, “any party that wants to win the election will not just go and pick someone who does not have global appeal. If you do that, you know you already lost that election.”
In his words, anyone vying for a political post should be able to prove to their party their capacity and ability to win the election between now and whenever the primary will take place.
The veteran journalist disclosed that he will rather be scientific saying the world has moved on, except politicians.
Momodu noted that the greatest problem of Nigeria is Unity and if every other problem must be addressed, the country needs to be united.
He mentioned that the best way to change the mindset of the oppressed is by bringing someone who is bold enough to challenge that status quo.
